Independent Study

EASE Independent Study program is provided as an optional alternative instructional program for students whose needs may be best met through study outside of the regular classroom setting. Independent study is provided to students for a minimum of five (5) days and up to thirty (30) days.  Independent study agreements may be renewed on a month to month basis, as determined by student progress.

The independent study option offers students a flexible independent alternative to the traditional classroom-based learning experience through:

  • Instructional units that are equivalent in quality and quantity as classroom instruction.
  • Course of study on a similar schedule as students in traditional classrooms.
  • Units of study that utilize district adopted materials designed to be completed at home.
  • District i-Ready assessments and state SBAC summative assessments that provide progress monitoring.
  • Support provided by parents/guardians.
